Western Veil

By Leticia Pereira

The Veil Nebula is a gigantic Supernova remnant, 1.470 light-years away, divided into several sections that constitute the Cygnus Loop. It is best photographed in Summer and stays high in the sky for a long period of time. The Veil Nebula(e) are great for bi-color narrowband combinations like the one I've done. 35 shots of 300" with Askar C2 Colourmagik filter 23 shots of 300" with Svbony2 SV220 filter 4h 50min total exposure (or a summernight nap) 31.07.2024 Skywatcher HEQ5 TSOptics 60 APO 360mm with flattener 1x Camera ZWO183 MC Pro Bortle 2 • Moon 0% Calibrated wit darks, flats and bias
