The SH2-150 nebula is an emission nebula located in the constellation Cepheus, known for its blend of gases and interstellar dust. It is part of the Sharpless catalog and lies about 2,900 light-years from Earth. It is situated near other star-forming regions like SH2-140 and SH2-145, all within the same constellation, in the direction of the Cepheus stellar associations, and is partially ionized by the star HD 213023, which helps illuminate its surroundings. This interstellar object is visible in wide-field photographs that capture its faint red emissions, typical of such nebulae. Although SH2-150 is not as bright as other nebulae, its study provides key information about star formation and the dynamics of molecular clouds in this region of the sky.
