NGC7023 & VdB141 Nebulosa Iris & Nebulosa de los Fantasmas ( Cefeo / Cepheus )

By Santiago Rodríguez Hernández

The Iris Nebula is known for its beautiful blue color, which is caused by the reflection of starlight off tiny dust particles within the nebula. The central star, HD 200775, illuminates the surrounding dust, creating a striking visual effect. Like other reflection nebulae, NGC 7023 is composed primarily of interstellar dust and gas. The dust grains are effective at scattering blue light, which is why the nebula appears blue. The Ghost Nebula is a dense region of gas and dust, known as a Bok globule, where new stars can form. These regions are often studied to understand the early stages of star formation.
