NGC3199 and NGC3247

By Thiago Gilberto Do Prado

It is a beautiful, but little-explored region next to the Carina complex. Nebula NGC3247 is very large and rich in ionized hydrogen (H-alpha). In the same field, we can still observe NGC3199, the product of a Wolf-Rayet WR 18 type star, where the arc may be the product of the shock wave propagating in an OIII cloud.
