The globular cluster NGC 6752 in the southern constellation Pavo, located at a distance of about 13,000 light-years. It holds over 100 thousand stars, has a diameter of about 100 light-years, and is over 10 billion years old. It is also one of the brightest globular clusters in the night sky. Stars in this cluster, among them the ancient red giants (shown in yellow-orange hue), reveal remarkable elemental abundances in their atmospheres that are not yet understood
